How to get to Toulouse - LOCATION
The 4th
Health Food Symposium (SAS 2012) will be hosted by the Hôtel de Region Midi
Pyrénées, located in Toulouse, France.
Travel
Blagnac
Airport is located 7 km north of the Toulouse city, with direct flights from
many major international cities It is the original airport hosting the first
flights of Concorde and Airbus A380. Long-haul flights may require a connection
in Paris, Amsterdam, London or Munich/Frankfurt. A shuttle bus operates a quick and affordable
service (5 euros) between the airport
and downtown.
While all
delegates require a valid passport for entry to Europe, delegates from some
countries will also require a visa. A list of nationalities where a visa is
required can be found on the
Government of France citizenship and immigration webpages. It may take some time for visas to be issued –
be sure to apply well in advance of the workshop date.
Toulouse
operates on GMT time.
The weather in Toulouse in
July is typically warm/hot, with a temperature range between 11 °C (52 F) and
35 °C (95 F). However, daytime maximum temperatures are approx 30 °C, although
humidity is generally quite low. “Autan” wind is relatively common on

the
recommended hotels are at a walking distance from the congress venue (Hotel de
Region, the unique Hotel which does not have available rooms for rent !).
Reaching the conference venue can be considered as a touristic trip in the
morning of these sunny days of July in the streets of “la Ville Rose”
typical of the “Midi de la France”.
